Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is quiet, strange and a little bit sad in the best way. You wander a shifting forest with a lantern, solving gentle environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened here. There's almost no text; the game tells you things through what it shows.

Movement is tap-to-walk and it suits the contemplative mood. The puzzles lean on light and shadow — angling your lantern to reveal paths, coaxing creatures out of the dark. Nothing is punishing, but a few late puzzles made us stop and really think.

We finished it in one long evening and sat with it afterwards, which doesn't happen often with a mobile game. If you want something atmospheric to lose yourself in, this is an easy recommendation.
